Co-Curricular Activities

The school offers many activities appropriate to the student's age group. These augment the academic learning and develop an interest to pursue various skills and hobbies. Art, Music, Work Education, Societies, Sports, and Value Education are given an emphasis for holistic development of the students.

The school provides a number of platforms to hone their skills of Art and Painting. Our Art and Craft teachers use new mediums and techniques to bring out the innate talent of the students. Four large halls are exclusively set aside as art and craft areas.

For Music and Dance six teachers continuously strive to make each student appreciate the Indian Classical Vocal and Instrumental Music as well as dance. To meet the requirements of Gen-next School has a western music teacher too with school's own Western Band Group. A large area with spacious rooms is developed in the school for the same.

The school is an active member of the SPIC MACAY. Renowned artists visit the school and perform various forms of performing arts and music.

All round development of the student's personality is the primary aim of Physical Education Teachers. The students participate in various sports throughout the year. Many students reach early or stay back after school to participate in sports coaching provided by the Sports Teachers.

Sports events are organized house wise and our school is the fore-runner in the city in organizing various Inter-School Sports Events and Hosting Sahodya School Tournaments. All participants are awarded prizes and certificates in the intra and inter school competitions. The School has a well-equipped Gymnasium too.

Children are encouraged to express their views through creative writing. Six issues of the School Newsletter 'EXPOSURE' and an Annual Magazine 'JAGRITI' besides an Annual Pictorial 'DIFFERENT STROKES' are published during the academic session. Ample opportunity to write on variety of topics for Wall Magazine 'IMPRESSION BOARD' is provided which is used for Inter House competitions.

Outward bound school activities

Students are sent on expeditions and other trips with teachers regularly to give them exposure to outer world. Places usually visited by younger students include Allen Forest, Bird Sanctuary, Bithoor, Reserve Bank of India, Dainik Jagran Press, Tanneries and various other industrial units etc. Our middle and senior school students are encouraged to travel by train with/without escorts. These students are often sent on expeditions to places like Gangotri, Kedarnath, Shimla Hills etc. A few students are sent regularly to attend Adventure Courses at Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttar Kashi and National Adventure Institute. Such activities boost their confidence and expose them to the real world.
